Jamaicans Now Able To Access Credit Reports Through Paymaster (Jamaica) & CRIF NM Partnership

Credit Reporting Agency, CRIF NM and Paymaster (Jamaica) Ltd. have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement that will give Jamaicans the ability to request & receive copies of their Credit Reports at select Paymaster locations island wide.

The agreement was signed on November 18, 2013 by CRIF NM’s CEO, Mr. Terrence Cooper and Ambassador Audrey Marks, Managing Director at Paymaster (Jamaica). Also in attendance at the signing, which took place at the corporate headquarters of CRIF NM in New Kingston, were Natalie St. Louis, VP Sales & Marketing (Paymaster) and Fenwick Reid, Executive Chairman (Massy ITC Group – CRIF NM’s primary sharholder).

As part of the Credit Reporting Act (2010), all Jamaicans are entitled by law to see what information is contained within their credit profiles.As the leading Credit Reporting Agency on the island, CRIF NM has committed to providing one (1) Free Credit Report each calendar year to individuals who request a copy of their report from CRIF NM offices. Reports accessed from Paymaster locations may be subject to a small handling fee.

This latest agreement underscores the Bureau’s commitment to this objective, by leveraging Paymaster’s extensive distribution network across the island.This will allow persons wishing to get a copy of their Credit Report, to simply visit select Paymaster locations, and provide 3 valid forms of identification (2 of which must be Government-issued). The Paymaster team will facilitate the accessing of consumer credit reports, without having any visibility to the credit information.

CRIF NM Credit Assure Limited is a joint venture between CRIF and Massy, founded with the objective of providing a world class credit bureau and related value added services to Jamaica and other countries in the Caribbean. The company will benefit from the experience, know-how, and support of both CRIF and Massy, with CRIF NM providing the Credit Bureau Operating platform, industry know-how, and value added products, and Massy providing the IT/ technology infrastructure, via local industry knowledge and experience (MTIJ) and through 80 years of business involvement in the Caribbean.
